What is the free consult about?
Our goal is to help you as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. The free consult is a 30-minute virtual meeting where we talk about your project goals, details, timeline and scope to assess your needs. After the consultation, we’ll email you a proposal to achieve your goals and a quote with some options to consider before we continue forward. This allows you to avoid any upfront risk and figure out if Kurios Creative Media is the right fit for your project needs.
How does invoicing and payment work?
Once we have agreed upon a quote, we willl send you the initial invoice with the details of the job and a pricing breakdown. We’ll also send you the work contract and payment details.
For all of our first-time clients, we require a 50% deposit before work is started and the remainder of the balance to be paid upon delivery unless otherwise agreed upon in our contract.
For our Canadian clients, we accept Interac e-Transfer, bank or wire transfers and bank-certified cheques. We also charge HST/GST as applicable according to Canadian law.
For our US and International clients, we accept payment via Wise, ACH bank deposits, and wire transfers. We do not charge our US clients any taxes, however, you will have to ensure that you comply with your local tax laws.
We can also accept credit card payments for an additional transaction fee upon request. However, we do not accept payments in cryptocurrency at this point.
How long does production take?
Turnaround times vary a lot based on the type of work (3D, video, design, illustration or web) and the scope of the project. We would have to setup a consultation meeting to more accurately assess the turnaround time based on your unique needs.
However, we are committed to completing our client projects on or ahead of schedule. We take deadlines seriously. The more efficiently we can work and complete projects, the better for everyone!
How do you handle revisions?
Frequently, once we have a clear idea of what our clients want, we can hit and exceed their expectations in the first round. We also make sure to give work-in-progress updates to get feedback as we’re working to avoid unnecessary revisions.
However, if revisions are needed, we are more than glad to accommodate since our client satisfaction is our #1 priority. We establish our policy and rates on revisions for a project in our work contracts upfront so there are no surprises.
Do you do work on a retainer or on-going contract?
Yes! We’re open to figuring out what is the most cost-effective solution for your business’s creative media needs.
For some businesses, that may involve an ongoing contract or retainer fee so that we can produce regular content for their needs. Those are details that we work out on an as-needed basis in our consultations.
We aim to make tailor-made packages to suit the needs of our clients and help them efficiently achieve their goals!
Do you do international work?
Yes! We’ve worked remotely with clients all over the world. For international clients, we bill in US dollars (USD).
For filming or any work that requires us to travel to be on location, the travel costs will be incorporated into our billing.
Do you do paid consulting work?
Yes. We’re happy to set up a paid consultation agreement if you need our expertise and advice in 3D, video production, live streaming, or technical gear and camera recommendations. We have a standard flat rate for our initial consultation meeting and can work out a special rate for ongoing consultation for projects.
